This year so far …..
Year five is fascinating
This term has been a blast, year 5 is the best! We have had APS which included rock climbing, triathlon (yes a triathlon), cycling, swimming, bike Ed, and loads more. Some highlights for me was getting to the top of the climbing wall in rock climbing, building my confidence on my bike, and going on the long course instead of the little course for cycling. Some other highlights are finishing my canvas portrait of myself for art, getting in the high group in cricket with P.E, and doing area and perimeter backyard blitz for maths.
Some new things I learned this year was belaying with rock climbing. I never knew that someone needed to support you if you are in a harness, that success is not an accident it is a choice, multiplying and dividing by decimals, sincopa 3 uneven sound over 2 beats in music, and learning that in art, everything has a light source.
Some goals of mine for this year and beyond are learning my 8, 7 and 6 times tables off by heart, running in the APS cross country, getting better at baseball, improving my grammar, and getting in to a lot more races for the house swimming carnival next year.
Some Positive Learner Attributes I have used this term are resilience when learning my division bus stop strategy, curiosity in all my classes like trying to figure out the lattice method for multiplication, and courage in my bike riding when I was unconfident on my bike but I kept on going.
I am really looking forward to term 2.
